It was in February 1952, that Robert Hewitt founded Hewitt Equipment Limited (Hewitt). With over 100 employees and 30 stores throughout Quebec and the Maritimes, Hewitt Rentals Inc. is well-positioned to become the major player in the tool and equipment rental industry. In 2002, Hewitt celebrated its 50th anniversary. In 50 years, Hewitt was involved in multiple major projects that marked the Quebec we know today.
In 2004, Hewitt acquired Montréal Hydraulique 04 Inc., a Jungheinrich lift truck dealer which specializes in hydraulic and pneumatic component system sales and repairs in addition to cylinder manufacturing. Montréal Hydraulique is based in Saint-Hubert and employs approximately 30 people.
